Chen Chao is a writer of stories bordering between horror and suspense. Unfortunately, despite many attempts, no publishing house recognizes his works as worth publishing. Soon, a man is implicated , by one of his neighbors for being a murderer. However, when summoned to the police station and interrogated by one of the officers, the man swears that it was not his doing, but one of the characters from his book, who came to life for reasons unknown to him. And as if that wasn't enough, he himself is her victim and was about to die as well.
In the process of telling his story about the course of events, the police try to determine what is true and what is the result of the twisted mind of the writer.
